WSP wins contract for Oman's Salalah airport facilities


(MENAFN) WSP has been appointed by international contractor J&P Overseas to work on two major airport facilities in Oman and extensive highway works in Qatar, Times of Oman reported.

WSP is set to provide detailed designs on the new maintenance and cargo facilities at Muscat airport and a cargo facility at Salalah airport.

The full project consists of 15.000 square meters of facilities, with WSP providing civil, structural, building services, and specialist support services including fire and security.

The works for new highway in Qatar consist of 45km of dual five-lane highway. WSP is providing full highway design services including bridges and civil engineering structures.

WSP is also currently working on the new Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha and is active across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
