The Council imposed a travel ban, asset freeze and arms embargo on six of their elements, and threatened sanctions on countries and nationals who raise money for the terrorist groups.

The Council also decided to add six individuals affiliated with the terrorist groups to the Al-Qaida sanctions list to face weapons and travel bans and an asset freeze.
