(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi and visiting UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon discussed here on Tuesday ongoing regional and international efforts to find a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
During the meeting, they also discussed the Egyptian initiative for a Palestinian-Israeli ceasefire in the Palestinian territory, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement, adding that the UN chief had reiterated support for the Egyptian peace plan.
Ban had stated earlier on Monday at a joint news conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry that all sides had to work together in order to find a ceasefire in Gaza.
