(MENAFN - Arab News) JEDDAH: Centuries by Zain-Ul-Huda of Munch Bakery and Hasnain of Jamco were the highlights of the 7th week matches of the Afternoon League sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association here.
ARM continued their unbeaten run as they marched ahead with a 15 runs win against the strong Pak Green-XI while Desert Warriors beat Tamer by 90 runs in the 7th week of the Premier League.
Zainul Huda's brilliant unbeaten 100 off 42 balls enabled Munch Bakery to trounce Old Students by 95 runs while Husain's unbeaten 115 off 57 balls enabled Jamco to crush Peeran Warriors by 80 runs.
Munch Bakery used the track first and piled up 220 for 3. Zain-Ul-Huda led from the front with a hurricane knock of 100. Tariq 37 and Zain-Ul-Salikeen 28 gave him support. Mirza Asif and Omar took one wicket each for 38 44 and 15 runs respectively.
In reply Old Students were bundled out for a paltry 125 with only Omar scoring a valiant 52. Waqas chipped in with 25. Shahid was the destroyer and took 3 for 11 to give Munch Bakery an easy win.
In the other match Jamco scored 241 4. Hasnain stole the limelight with a swash-buckling unbeaten knock of 115. Naeem stood firm at the other end with a patient innings of 47.
Mukhtar Faisal and Zulfiqar had one wicket.
In reply Peeran Warriors started well with Nasir (52) and Zulfiqar (47). Jameel later prpped up the innings with 24. Faisal (3 for 32) and Naeem (3 for 23) bowled a tight length to bundle them out for 161.
In another match of the same division Munch Bakery batted first and made a respectable total of 188 for 7 against Munch Bakery. Inform batsman Zain-ul-Salikeen made a classic 52 runs. Others who performed with the bat were Naseem (46) and left-handed veteran batsman Zain-ul-Huda who chipped in with run a ball 22. Mubashir took 2 for 31 while Yousuf had 2 for 7.
In reply Jamco reached their target 189 for 6 and won by 4 wickets.
Mubashir (31) Naeem (55) Roshan (28 n.o) and Shoukat (24 n.o) were the main run getters. Zain-ul-Huda had 2 for 20.
Later Peeran-XI won the toss and elected to bat first and made138 for 8 against ICAD. Tariq (28) and Nazam (25). Shakeel Mohsin and Waqas had 2 wickets each for 29 22 and 15 runs respectively.
ICAD in reply reached the target of 142 for 3 wickets. Waqas (37) Shakeel (62) and Jinto (17 n.o) contributed. Nazim took 2 for 44. ICAD won by 7 wickets.
Later Old Students scored a reasonable 169 for 6 wickets. Izhar (32) Sajid (26) Shahid (35) and Nazim (26 n.o) were the main contributors. Taqi had 3 for 34 while Huzaifa 2 for 33.
Saudi German Hospital made 170 for 7 wickets and won the match by 3 wickets. Taqi (57) Asad (40) and Saad (30) did their best. Umar took 2 for 34 and Asif had 2 for 23 for the Old Students.
