(MENAFN - Arab News) Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. a major Saudi company producing dairy and juice products and one of the largest juice producers in the Middle East has signed a partnership agreement with King Saud University's (KSU) Riyadh-based Social Responsibility Club (SRC) to distribute more than 100000 meals to fasting individuals during the current holy month of Ramadan.

Each meal contains a set of products dates water and juice. This project comes within the framework of the company's programs that are enriched with various social responsibility activities as well as its participation in community services.

Al-Sharif Monther Al-Harthi CEO of Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. said: 'The company is committed to exert all efforts possible to support the various community programs according to set programs and thoughtful scientific plans which will fulfill the company's target to support all sectors. Such efforts and initiives do not come as a reaction but they come from the heart of the company's policy."

He added: 'Under our charitable initiatives which we are committed to constantly provide to the community we are keen this year to sign this agreement with the SRC of a deep-rooted Saudi university King Saud University. The objective is to distribute more than 100000 iftar meals during the month of Ramadan distributed daily to fasting individuals in mosques needy people in public places police check stations and other beneficiary areas throughout the month the month of goodness and giving being the best time to charity and social events that spread love and strengthen links between the members of the community. Provision of iftar meals to fasting individuals has a great virtue as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "He who gives iftar to a fasting person will be given as many rewards as has that fasting person without any reduction in such reward."
