Qatar- QFA hosts Iftar for Filipino Community


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Celebrating Ramadan, Qatar Football Association (QFA) hosted Iftar for the Filipino Community which has been an important supporter of the association's tournaments, events and activities.

The event was part of QFA's objective to strengthen relations with communities that continuously support it.

More than 500 people attended the event and created a sense of unity between the community and QFA, allowing everyone to connect to one another.

Philippine Ambassador Crescente R Relacion and Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Acting Chief Operations Officer, QFA, welcomed the guests.

The event reflected QFA's commitment to support local communities. QFA is inspired by the ideals and spirit of Ramadan and Iftar was one way of expressing appreciation towards the community.

Gifts were distributed to all guests at the event at Al Gassar Resort and

Al Kuwari said, "The aim of Ramadan is to give back to the community.

"Through our cooperation with the Filipino community this year we had the opportunity to broaden our fan base and reach a wider segment of the community while supporting its events and activities.

"We have a strong relationship with the Filipino community and aim to reinforce it in line with QFA's Vision 2021 to bond with different communities."

QFA is organising Iftar this week for Indian, Indonesian, Sri Lankan, Nepalese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Chinese, Japanese, Jordanian, Lebanese, and Korean communities.

It will also host Iftar for the media to thank them for excellent coverage of QFA's news and events.
