Israeli air raid kills two Islamic Jihad members in Gaza - army

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Israeli army said its fighter jets raided and killed two Islamic Jihad activists in Gaza Strip on Sunday.

The air raid took place following "a long day where Palestinians fired more than 25 rockets from the strip at southern Israel," an army spokesman said in a statement to the Israeli radio.

The Israeli air raids killed Mazen Al-Jadbah, 25, and Marwan Saleem, 23, who were in a civilian car in Al-Buraij camp in central Gaza. Another Palestinian who was at the scene of the attack was injured.

Local Palestinian radio stations said the two Palestinians were members of Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad.

The Israeli air raids also injured three Palestinians.

The Israeli army spokesman said the air raid was in retaliation of the firing of rockets from Gaza.

The army is continuing the air strikes against rockets' launching sites in Gaza.
