(MENAFN) Qatar became the top nation in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kuwait as its total investment in Kuwait was estimated at USD6.72 billion in 2012, according to Qatar News Agency.
Total FDI in Kuwait during the twelve-month period came to almost USD 10.61 billion, the Bureau director Maryam Al-Aqeel said during a press conference here today.
FDI in 2012 in Kuwait was divided among a number of sectors, the biggest of which was the telecom sector with USD6.36 billion, followed by the investment sector with over USD2,112 million.
