Federal National Council approves 3 draft federal laws


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) They include draft law on amending the name of the national transport authority and law on combating the use of banned performance-enhancing drugs in horse racing.

the federal national council (fnc) held today its 16th session of the 15th legislative chapter under the chairmanship of its speaker mohammed ahmed al murr.

the fnc approved three draft federal laws after amending and adding articles to them. they are: draft law on amending the name of the national transport authority draft law on amending some articles of the federal law no. 8 for 2008 on orders medals and military decorations and draft federal law on combating the use of banned performance-enhancing drugs in horse racing and equine sports.

the fnc members tabled seven questions to the government representatives relating to their respective areas of concern.

present during the session were dr rashid ahmed bin fahad minister of environment and water and dr maitha salem al shamsi minister of state & board chair of the marriage fund.
