Qatar- MoU signed to prepare for UN congress


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Preparatory Committee of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and Qatar MICE Development Institute (QMDI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to manage the event and a Youth Forum to be held in Qatar on April 12-19 next year. The MoU was signed by Col. Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, Director, Public Relations Department and Member of the committee, and Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Kuwari, Director, Sales & Marketing, QMDI, in the presence of Ft. Lt. Hadi Muhammad Al Hajiri, Head, Security Media Section, Public Relations Department, and other officials. Col Al Muftah said the MoU is a significant step for preparations for the congress and the Youth Forum. "The UN has been organising the congress every five years since 1955. It is a major international event with participation presidents, prime ministers and security chiefs from countries across the world. "The previous conferences were successful in presenting technical support and studies that helped exchange experiences and enhance cooperation in the fields of crime prevention and criminal justice," Col Al Muftah added.
