uae-born brands centrepoint max and emax — leading retailers in their respective fields — were officially opened in the presence of murray bell managing director of retail at al-futtaim group real estate; david robinson general manager of retail development at al-futtaim group real estate; vinod talreja director of centrepoint; ramanathan hariharan ceo of max fashions; and neelesh bhatnagar ceo of emax electronics.

centrepoint with its popular babyshop splash lifestyle and shoemart brands will anchor the southern end of the mall adding further to dfc’s appeal as a one-stop family destination.

“bringing max emax and centrepoint to our mall will significantly strengthen our fashion homeware and electronics offerings and provide our visitors with the widest variety of shopping options. we value the strength of our established and long-standing relationship with the landmark group and would like to extend our deepest gratitude for their enduring support commitment and solid partnership not only in the uae but across the region” murray bell said.

dfc is strategically located in dubai enjoying a unique waterfront location with a growing resident and tourist population. these strong fundamentals together with the continued growth across dubai and positive retailer demand have resulted in the mall continuing its expansion and refurbishment plans. expo 2020 is expecting to lure over 20 million visitors in the next six years and dfc is keen to play a significant role in the retail sector’s evolution.

the first phase of redevelopment was completed in late 2013 and the opening of a further three landmark group brands positively endorses the success of the transformations to date.

“the opening of the three landmark group stores paves the way for the addition of even more popular brands including the launch of dfc’s first h&m store which is on course to welcome customers by september this year. dfc continues to make positive improvements to exceed the changing needs of our ever expanding shopper base” bell added.
