sharjah continued to wow russian travellers as the sharjah commerce and tourism development authority or sctda wrapped up a successful promotional tour of the country.
in cooperation with air arabia the sctda’s russian roadshow touched key cities such as moscow kazan yekaterinburg and rostov conducting a number of meetings and workshops about the emirate’s tourism offering and latest attractions and developments in the industry. the meetings and works attracted the movers and shakers and representatives of the russian tourism industry and media.
those present included vitaly korovkin head of the department of international cooperation at the federal agency of russia tourism who also met and held talks with khalid jasim al midfa director-general of the sctda. the two sides discussed future cooperation in tourism exchange and shared their experiences.
al midfa also interacted with a number of journalists in the city of kazan expressing the emirate’s keenness to reinforce its position in the strategic russian tourism market with a special focus on the latest and upcoming tourism projects and developments in sharjah.
he expressed his satisfaction over the success of the russian roadshow saying it had been high on the authority’s 2014 agenda.
