(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) has launched a website dedicated to the campaign of promoting Omani products.
The 'Origin Oman' website will complement the campaign supporting locally manufactured products, factory owners, businesses, as well as consumers who represent various segments of society, said Hamood al Balushi, director of the Omani products department at PEIE.
Balushi added, "The website offers visitors a range of services, through the link www.originoman. om, including an introduction to the campaign, latest news and calendar of upcoming events. In addition, it provides the opportunity of obtaining a membership, getting the permit to use the logo of the 'Origin Oman' campaign, and promoting products through the website. The website has been designed to encourage consumers and organisations to purchase locally manufactured goods and services, promote national pride and loyalty, and emphasise the economic importance of buying local made products and services."
Various services will be added to the website in the coming period as investors and business owners will have access to view tenders offered by the Tender Board, he said.
"Besides, the website will offer an opportunity for companies to advertise and introduce their products.''
