Kuwait FM, Algeria premier meet on NAM sidelines


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal here on Wednesday on the sidelines of the ongoing Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) conference. During the meeting, they discussed ways and means of promoting and bolstering Kuwaiti-Algerian relations in various cooperative domains and several issues of mutual interest. Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Sheikh Sabah Khaled said the joint committee of Kuwait and Algeria will convene in September, hailing the committee as an umbrella for bilateral cooperation in all realms. He added that both sides would have a political consultation agreement due to swift political regional events. The Kuwaiti official believed the NAM conference was a good opportunity for him to seek closer cooperative relations with Algeria.
