Saudi MoH reports 6 coronavirus fatalities


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that two out of the three persons who tested positive for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS or coronavirus) in the last 24 hours, have died. The three new confirmed cases include two in Holy City of Makkah and one in Riyadh, the Ministry said in a statement on its website. Four other persons who contracted the disease recently have also succumbed to their illness in Madina and Riyadh while four cases, involving women, have recovered. Today's figures took the total number of confirmed cases to 565, and the fatalities to 186, since the outbreak of the disease in the Kingdom in 2012.
