inspired by the directive of his highness shaikh mohammed bin rashid al maktoum vice-president and prime minister of the uae and ruler of dubai to spread positive energy among government employees the dubai municipality (dm) organised a seminar titled ‘positive energy’ to mark the ninth anniversary of its dm training centre.
the seminar held under the patronage of hussain nasser lootah dm’s director-general saw hala kazim social consultant and founder of journey through change a programme for changing women’s lives in a positive way talk about the concept of positive energy. bassam al khatib training and development consultant at uae university spoke on the criteria for positive energy and how to increase it as well as productivity.
lootah said positive energy is the secret of excellence and the aspiration for distinction and achieving one’s goal. its source in human beings is self-motivation which drives them to be leaders. he urged dm employees to be confident that they could do anything big or small: “wherever there is willpower and powerful management there will be miracles.” lootah quoted napoleon who said: “if someone (from my army) said i can’t i would reply: try; if someone said i don’t know i would say: learn; if someone said impossible i would say: struggle.”
