Dubai's inflation stands at 3 percent in April


(MENAFN) Dubai Statistics Centre reported that Dubai's inflation remained unchanged in April at 3 percent, but expects higher inflation in the following months, according to Khaleej Times. The main effects of inflation in the emirate were rising housing and services costs with the housing component of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising around five percent year-on-year in April. Emirates NBD said: "" We expect inflation to remain on an upward trajectory this year, as higher housing costs are reflected in the official index"" Education costs rose at a similar pace in April, but inflation in healthcare, transport, communications and hospitality sectors was much lower.
