Qatar's CPI increases 0.2 percent in April


(MENAFN) The Qatari Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics (MDPS) released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for April, which is estimated at 117.2, increasing 0.2 percent compared to March's CPI, QNA reported. Qatar's CPI showed an increase of 2.8 percent compared to the same month of last year. The CPI increase is combined of the price rise in rental, fuel and energy, while furniture, textile and home applicants groups by 0.7 percent each. The CPI of April 2014, excluding "Rentals, Fuel and Energy" group stands at 127.6, edging up 0.1% compared to the index of March 2014 and 1.6% of the CPI of April, 2013.
