(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman Airports Management Co. (OAMC) participated for the second time in a row in Dubai Airport show 2014, hosted by the Emirate of Dubai from May 11 to May 13, amid a broad global presence and participation by specialists and international airlines and companies involved in the management and operation of airports.

The opening ceremony of Dubai Airport show was attended by Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed al Hosni, general manager of Muscat International Airport, Salem bin Awad al Yafei, general manager of Salalah Airport at OAMC, and Engineer Khalfan bin Saeed al Shaily, general manager of Readiness. This year's Show has attracted more than 250 companies from 39 countries around the world.

OAMC's participation in such major international exhibitions translates the company's interest and keenness on introducing and promoting the sultanate's airports, particularly the new Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport. It aims to highlight Oman's ongoing interest in developing the aviation industry and the various efforts to upgrade this industry over the past years, with the establishment of airports with top level services and various potentials, and the investment of substantial financial resources to promote the industry so that it plays an active role in the economic development process.

OAMC participated in Dubai Show within the hosted buyers programme, and it was allocated a special wing adequately equipped to facilitate the promotion of the developed airport services, as well as a conference hall to hold meetings with various participating companies, suppliers and expert houses.
