(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Reports on the intention of smuggling amounts of cash and antiques in a container of Houbara Bustard feed will be dealt with in a "serious and transparent" manner, Director General Administration of Customs Khaled Al-Saif said Saturday.
The shipment is expected to arrive later tonight. Reports of the suspicious container were all over local social media outlets.
"The Department will spare no effort in countering any illegal acts in order to safeguard Kuwait," Al-Saif said in a press release.
"We take any piece of information seriously, regardless of its source, and we deal with everyone in the same strict manner that would guarantee soundness of the inspection process," he stressed.
