(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dr qayyum soomro political secretary to former president asif ali zardari was elected unopposed to the senate on a seat vacated by pakistan people?s party (ppp) leader faisal raza abidi on party directive.
meanwhile the election commission of pakistan (ecp) has announced schedule for polling on a senate seat vacated by muttahida qaumi movement’s (mqm) mustafa kamal who was elected as senator from sindh.
according to schedule nomination papers can be submitted from thursday to friday (may 9) while scrutiny will be done between saturday and monday. polling will be held on may 20.
