Central Electricity Generating Company and Jordan Engineers Association Provide Training to Fresh Graduate Engineers


(MENAFNEditorial) Amman, May 2014 - Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) has signed an agreement with Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) to provide professional and technical training to 11 recently-graduated engineers. Seven engineers will be trained at the Company's Aqaba Thermal Power Station and four at its Rehab Gas Turbine Power Station, in collaboration with JEA. Signed by CEGCO CEO Eng. Omar Al-Daour and JEA President Abdullah Obeidat, the agreement emphasizes CEGCO's commitment to supporting the local community and providing fresh graduates with valuable learning and training opportunities. "This step underscores our interest in supporting youth and providing them with the chance to obtain technical skills and work experience, as well as to utilize their academic capabilities in an optimal manner. We have presented the trainees with the opportunity to be part of a professional work environment which we hope will serve as a valuable learning experience that helps them throughout their careers," stated Eng. Al-Daour. In turn, Obeidat commented, "At JEA, we continuously strive to offer training opportunities to freshly graduated engineers in cooperation with both public and private sector organizations. I would like to thank CEGCO for its unwavering support and look forward to further building on our longstanding partnership so as to positively impact an even larger number of beneficiaries in the future."
