Schneider Electric signs Frame Supply Agreement with Saudi Maaden


(MENAFN) Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has signed a "Frame Supply Agreement" with Saudi Arabian Mining Company Maaden for the Provision of Low Voltage Switchgear, according to Arab News. Schneider Electric will be responsible for providing Maaden Umm Wu"al Phosphate project with low voltage switchgear and services to manage and maintain electrical distribution system. The announcement was revealed in a signing ceremony in Saudi after Maaden welcomed a French mining delegation. Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Maaden president and CEO, welcomed the delegation and said: "Maaden is helping to develop mining into the third pillar of Saudi industry, beyond oil and petrochemicals. In order to build a new industrial sector, we require the expertise and support of a number of service suppliers and contractors across the entire minerals value chain." Al-Mudaifer added: "Today, we met with world class French companies who shared with us their expertise as well their willingness to contribute to the development of a modern and globally competitive mining industry in Saudi Arabia."
