UAE- Alarm foils burglary attempt at Sharjah money exchange


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The moment the burglar approached the premises of the exchange and breached the security system the alarm sent a prompt to the police control room that dispatched an anjad patrol to the site immediately.

for the second time a security alarm installed at commercial outlets and linked to the police operation room helped foil burglary at a money exchange located in al mussala area.

the alarm set off at 2am on sunday alerting the operations room of the burglary.

police officials told khaleej times that the moment the burglar approached the premises of the exchange and breached the security system the alarm sent a prompt to the police control room that dispatched an anjad patrol to the site immediately.

on reaching the exchange the thief who only searched the exchange and found nothing fled the scene. the police managed to identify him as an asian and are making efforts to arrest him before he commits another theft.

an employee of the exchange said the thief searched the premises for cash but was unable to find anything.

the sharjah police urged owners of commercial outlets to link their shops with the police operation room to protect their properties. the early detection alarm system helped in preventing thefts in more than 50 outlets in the past two years.

police said the alarm system linked to the operation room also contributed to preventing thefts at a money exchange outlet in al arooba on april 9.
