Qatar's UDC profits up 57 percent in Q1


(MENAFN) The Qatar-based United Development Company (UDC) registered a USD98.8 million net profit, up 57 percent compared to the same period of 2013 in which it registered net profits of USD62.8 million, The Peninsula Qatar reported. The company, which is one of the leading Qatari shareholding companies and master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, reported USD0.27 earnings per share in the first quarter of 2014, compared to USD0.16 in the same quarter of 2013. Chairman of UDC, said: "I am pleased with our revenue performance as we continue to invest in our capabilities and grow our ranks with the aim of enhancing our market position while we pursue our long-term strategic initiatives."
