(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's EnerTech Holding has signed a partnership agreement with Canadian Morgan Solar Inc. to transfer the technology of concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) generation systems and to produce solar panels.
In a press statement issued Sunday, EnerTech, fully owned subsidiary of the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC), said the partnership agreement has been signed in Kuwait in a ceremony attended by representatives of the two companies and Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait Douglas George.
EnerTech statement pointed out that Morgan Solar Inc. has recently managed to develop revolutionary Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) module with self-ballasted sunlight tracker.
For his part, EnerTech Chief Operating Officer Abdullah Al-Mutairi said that the Canadian company has made huge leaps in the CPV modules production.
He argued that the high efficiency and low cost of the CPV modules would help change the previous concept about the low-efficiency and high-cost of solar energy.
Al-Mutairi added that the agreement comes within the framework of the company's mission of transferring and promoting renewable and clean energy technology in Kuwait as well as diversifying energy sources.
Morgan Solar Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) generation systems and PV balance of system components. It offers Savanna, a dual-axis tracker for PV applications; and Sun Simba, a modular concentrating solar panel.
