Profits of Oman Cables up 8.9 percent


(MENAFN) Oman Cables Industry posted an increase of 8.9 percent in net profits in the first quarter of 2014, hitting USD9.1 million up from USD8.3 million compared to the same period of 2013, Times of Oman reported. Sales revenue of the company reached USD167.6 million, increasing 4.4 percent compared to the same period last month. "The increase in sales is mainly on the account of an increase in volume sold in spite of lower copper prices compared to the same period in 2013," a statement posted on MSM website said.
