Hotel occupancy rate in Manama up 32 percent


(MENAFN) New data by STR Global show that hotels in the Bahraini capital were among the best performing in the Middle East and Africa region last month, Arabian Business reported. Occupancy rate in the capital city increased by an average of 32.2 percent in the month, registering an average of 60.7 percent. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) surged 29.6 percent to USD119.14. March marked the second monthly growth for Manama hotel following a 39 percent increase in occupancy and a 37.7 percent increase in RevPAR in February. The STR Global data shows that Saudi Arabia"s Jeddah registered the largest increase in average daily rates (ADR) regionally with an increase of 8.5 percent.
