(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A senior official of the Foreign Ministry said here on Saturday charitable activities are part of Kuwait's major foreign interests.
Meeting a Kuwait Charity Forum team led by Khaled Al-Shatti, the supervisor of the forum, the Foreign Ministry's Follow-up and Coordination Section Chief Ambassador Khaled Al-Meghamis said in a statement the ministry is keen to promote charitable activities and help staff through its embassies.
He urged diplomats and officials to do their best to promote the effective humanitarian role of the Kuwaiti government and people in aiding friendly people and in supporting their countries' development projects.
On his part, Al-Shatti said his forum is eager to establish partnerships and initiatives that could ensure the efficiency of charity workers and volunteers.
He thanked the Foreign Ministry for its interest in external charitable activities, and for supporting and promoting Kuwaiti charities.
