Boeing expects jetliner demand to boost profit in 2014


(MENAFN) US aerospace and defense giant Boeing said it expects a rise in its profit for 2014 despite the profit decline in the current year's first quarter, according to Arab News. The company's net profit was estimated at USD965 million in the first quarter of the current year, posting a 12.7 percent decline from the same quarter 2013. Revenues reached USD20.47 billion for the quarter, or 8.3 percent higher from the same period a year earlier, while operating profit boosted by 112 percent to reach USD1.1 billion.
