(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) shington April 24 - US Secretary of State John Kerry has met with the Egyptian Intelligence Chief Major General Mohammed Ahmed Fareed al-Tohami who is currently visiting Washington. During the meeting they discussed ways of cooperation between Cairo and Washington and the current situation in Egypt. Kerry stressed the importance of Egypt's commitment to support the democratic process and the need to emphasize the freedom of opinion and expression. The visit came ahead of an expected visit of Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy to Washington today to discuss bilateral relations and a number of regional and international issues.
