(MENAFNEditorial) Medcare Hospital, the leading private hospital in the region, has launched a green programmeby planting trees at its premises to mark the World Earth Day 2014. The initiative has been designed as one of the strongest ways to protect the environment and to save earth.
The green initiative highlights the importance of going green and planting trees, which will benefit the environment today as well as for the future generation. The programmealso focuses on the three R's, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The event received an overwhelming response with over 100+ people attending the event.
The tree planting event was inaugurated by Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare and mentioned that "We are pleased to launch the initiative by Medcare Hospital, as part of the Earth Day celebrations. Saving the Environment and Conserving for the Future are topics which are told very often but implemented rarely. We at Medcare believe that actions speak louder than words, and going green, planting trees adopting measures to conserve environment is the way to save Mother Earth and thereby our future generations."
The event had a Green Initiative Booth with posters spreading messages and creating awareness on planting trees and thinking green, with a plants stall as well at the event. There was also a presentation on the green initiative program, educating people on the benefits of planting trees and avoiding activities which can harm the environment.
