Ideal Standard Gives Back to the Egyptian Community

By supporting two of Egypt's leading NGOs, Hope Village Society (Hope Village) and Inner Wheel, Ideal Standard endeavors to make a positive contribution to the Egyptian community. Eng. Ideal Standard took part in the Hope Village event by sponsoring 1,000 street children, enabling them to receive suitable care as well as the gala dinner and main activities of the evening including entertainment by famous Lebanese singer Assi El Helani. The event took place April 20th in Sharm El Sheikh at the Concorde El Salam and was attended by 2,000 people. Hope Village is an NGO that provides shelter and invaluable services for street children, offering an alternative to life on the streets. Founded by late Englishman Richard Hemsely and other Egyptian philanthropists, boys and girls receive education and healthcare and can participate in numerous activities such as sports and literacy programs. Vocational training such as carpentry is also taught; helping ensure a brighter future. The world's leader in sanitary ware design and manufacture recently participated as well in the Inner Wheel's annual fundraising event. Its annual party is the main headline event in the calendar year for the distinguished NGO. Held at Cairo's Blue Nile boat March 22nd and attended by leading society figures, the event served to raise funds for Egypt's cancer society. Established in 2002, the world's largest women's voluntary service organization brings together the dedication of thousands of women volunteers across Egypt for the promotion of a better society.
