The STL in a statement said it has now requested that the Lebanese authorities act on these new arrest warrants. International arrest warrants will also be provided to Interpol for circulation in other countries.

The STL's headquarters are in Leidschendam on the outskirts of The Hague, and also has an office in Beirut, Lebanon.
Its primary mandate is to hold trials for the people accused of carrying out the attack of 14 February 2005 which killed 22 people, including Rafiq Hariri, and injured many others.
