Dubai's RTA signs USD50 m deals on transforming projects


(MENAFN) Dubai's transport authority has recently signed USD50 million deals to transform the first six Metro stations into art museums, according to Arabian Business. Two memoranda of understanding (MoU) have been signed between the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on one side, and Dubai Culture and Arts Authority - one for the stations and a second for decorating bridges and underpasses in Dubai, on the other side. The project includes transforming Burjuman Station into music and art gallery, while Emirates Towers Station will be transformed into Islamic decorations and manuscripts, Financial Centre Station will be transformed into an Islamic Numismatics (coins) Gallery, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station will be transformed into an e-library, and the Business Bay Station will be transformed into a photo gallery.
