Omani accused of theft arrested in Bahrain


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Bahraini authorities on Friday arrested an Omani national accused in a fraud case. The accused reportedly stole a large sum of money from a currency exchange company in the sultanate.


According to reports by the Bahrain News Agency, an official of the Manama-based director general of anti-corruption and economic and electronic security said that their Omani counterparts had informed them about the accused who had fled to Bahrain on Thursday.


He was tracked down to a hotel and arrested.


Procedures to refer the accused to Omani authorities have been initiated.
