The office of kpk governor has special significance representing the federal government which controls the troubled federally administered tribal areas (fata).
Abbasi also a former chief minister of the province replaced shaukatullah khan who was appointed to the office by former president asif ali zardari on february 9 last year.
The newly-appointed chief justice of the peshawar high court justice mazhar administered the oath to abbasi at the governor’s house in peshawar.
