Turk, 3 Syrians held in travel docus forgery


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Personnel from the General Department for Immigration have arrested four people - a Turk and three Syrians for forging travel documents. Security sources said the Turk was involved in forging Turkish and Bulgarian passports and selling them for 10,000 euros each to Syrians wanting to escape to European countries



The sources said the suspects (Syrians) were arrested at the Kuwaiti International Airport when they were about to escape to a foreign country on forged Bulgarian and Turkish passports. During interrogation the Turk is said to have admitted to forging several passports before. The arrest came when the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Inteior Suleiman Al-Fahd and Assistant Undersecretary for Passports and Authentication of Documents Affairs Major-General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf, Director of Immigration Department Brigadier Ghazi Al-mea were informed About the illegal activities of the prime suspect. The sources said the Syrians entered Kuwait via Iran and Iraq and made Kuwait as a transit point. All those arrested have been referred to the Prosecution
