Kuwait- Trooper fleeing life in prison arrested


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A military employee of rank 'Vice-Corporal' of Ministry of Interior was arrested as he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a case of kidnapping and cheating filed against him. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling Amghara area when they suspected a vehicle and stopped the driver. The latter immediately presented his military identity card, which revealed that he is an officer from Ministry of Interior of rank 'Vice-Corporal'. However, when securitymen asked him for his Civil ID, he said he forgot to carry it. Sensing his nervousness, securitymen checked his details in the database and realized that he was wanted by law as he had been sentenced to life imprisonment in a case of kidnapping and cheating. They also discovered that he was terminated from his duty in the ministry. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Meanwhile, Jahra securitymen seized eight vehicles that were used for reckless driving, issued 30 traffic citations and recovered a stolen vehicle during campaigns in Jahra Governorate. And, police are investigating a bloody fight between two groups of people inside a well-known commercial complex in Sharq, reports Al-Shahed daily. The injured have been admitted to the Amiri Hospital for treatment.
