ALARGAN is exclusive sponsor of 2014 Model Arab League

(MENAFNEditorial) ALARGAN International Real Estate Company was the exclusive sponsor of the '2014 Model Arab League' held recently in Kuwait City, which brought together students from across the Arab world to discuss and debate their views on the history and contemporary political environment of the region. The participants discussed a number of issues, particularly those pertaining to Arab youth, with learned arguments that examined the concerns from various perceptives.

The conference had three main components of discussion – 'common defence,' 'the Palestinian issue' and 'economic stability.' The argument by the Kuwaiti representative earned the largest number of votes on the first topic. The Saudi representative and Omani delegate clinched most votes for the other two issues, respectively.

A White Paper was prepared based on the discussions by the participants, which was presented at the closing gala dinner attended by a number of high profile Arab diplomats, political leaders, foreign ministers, representatives of the Kuwait Ministry of Youth, university professors and students.

Mr. Meshaan Mohammed Al-Meshaan, Chief Business Development Officer of ALARGAN, said: "The '2014 Model Arab League' encourages youth to engage in informed debate on international issues, present their viewpoints and put forth their recommendations to further strengthen solidarity among the Arab people and find solutions for problems faced by the Arab world.

He added: "Our exclusive sponsorship of this high-profile event highlights our corporate social responsibility to the country and the Arab world to promote positive dialogue on issues that concern the people. ALARGAN is particularly focused on strengthening the skillsets of the region's youth and shaping a new generation of young leaders who can make a positive change in their countries. We are truly honoured to support the event and any future activities of a similar nature and play a strong role in supporting our youth.

The '2014 Model Arab League' was held in cooperation with the Kuwait International Law Society from Kuwait University School of Law, and the International Relations Club in the American University Of Kuwait. It aimed to introduce the functions of the Arab League to the region's youth, highlighting its role as a key organisation focused on resolving the issues facing the Arab world
