TRA participates in IT, Telecom and Technology Show "Comex 2014"


(MENAFNEditorial) The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) represented by its Information and eGovernment sector, participates in "Comex 2014" which will be held in Oman International Exhibition Centre in Muscat on April 7-11. This participation comes as part of the continuous coordination and cooperation efforts between GCC Information Technology authorities responsible for electronic projects in order to showcase innovative projects and exchange experiences and knowledge in this area



"We aim, through this participation, to strengthen the communication within GCC countries by enhancing knowledge sharing and shedding light on the latest technologies these countries have reached to. We are glad to have participated in this significant exhibition, which is a suitable platform that allows us to highlight the key projects and initiatives launched by UAE government entities, to improve the quality and diversity of e-government services." commented H.E. The TRA's delegation will showcase the UAE's experience in achieving the transition to a smart government by adopting a thorough national roadmap including many stations that will reach to a well-defined goal in a period of two years. This goal is to delight customers and improve government services to the maximum. The delegation will shed the light on the mGovernment lab and Government Application lab (apps.gov.ae) which is the first of its kind in the whole world. The delegation will also focus on the developments achieved in various relevant governmental entities working in full coordination with the mGovernment transformation roadmap



Furthermore, the Ministry of Energy has confirmed its participation in the show this year to present an overview on several projects, including the ministry's new website as well as its smart e-services, and the project of "Geological Maps sale" which sells state's land with high accuracy and is the first of its kind at the regional level. The Ministry of Finance also will introduce the e-Dirham System as a successful experiment in the collection of revenues of the UAE federal government. The "Marriage Fund" will showcase its electronic programs offered like "Marriage Grant Application" and registration in collective weddings and participation in awareness programs
