(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) has confirmed that the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) is the basis of the peace process in Darfur and cannot be bypassed because it was reached upon the desire of the people of interest with a real regional and international support.

Minister of Infrastructure Construction at Darfur Regional Authority Taj al-Din Bashir Nyam said in remarks he gave today at the Chadian city of Umm Jaras that the Authority considers Umm Jaras Forum on issues of peace, security and peaceful coexistence in Darfur as a framework for supporting the peace process and the Doha Document which accommodates all supporting initiatives to stabilize Darfu
He added that the restoration of security in Darfur requires everyone's participation in the peace process and the pooling of efforts to put pressure on the armed movements to respond to the call for peace and the renunciation of strif
