Kuwait- Hawkers, Residency Law violators among 102 detained


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A security team from the General Immigration Investigation Department on Friday conducted a security crackdown in Kabad, leading to the arrest of 102 people involved in various crimes; including street hawkers and those who violated the Residency Law. In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior disclosed the crackdown is part of the ongoing campaign against criminals; specifically the marginalized expatriate laborers, under the supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs Major General Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Sabah. 129 law violators held: Immigration detectives conducted a security campaign in Kabad and arrested 129 residency violators and absconders plus workers with illegitimate employers, reports Al-Rai daily.
