(MENAFN- Arab News) Police have detained an unidentified former convict and his two brothers - one of them working for the General Department Criminal Investigation - for helping their brother escape the law, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the main suspect was driving a vehicle without number plate and when a police patrol ordered him to pull over he refused and instead drove straight to his home. When police went to his house they were involved in an argument with the man and as tempers flared he stabbed the officers.
When the officers attempted to handcuff him, the brothers intervened and helped him escape
