Sharif promises to steer country out of crises

Prime minister nawaz sharif has expressed his determination to steer the country out of crises.


Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of metro bus service in rawalpindi on sunday the prime minister reiterated his government’s resolve to root out terrorism and bring the country out of all sorts of problems.


Lauding the role of punjab chief minister shahbaz sharif for developing punjab he assured the provincial government of all possible assistance in the completion of the metro bus project. the prime minister said the metro bus project would be extended to divisional level and a metro bus service for multan would be started in the next phase.


Expressing his satisfaction over economic progress the prime minister said pakistan’s exports were increasing and the dollar was being kept below the rs100 mark.


Sharif said the government is working on several national projects including lahore-karachi motorway and islamabad-muzaffarabad railroad. he hoped that new islamabad international airport will become functional by the next year.


Sharif said the government is making all out efforts to end load-shedding.


The prime minister said over 21000 megawatt of electricity will be added to the national grid system in next seven years.


Speaking on the occasion punjab chief minister shahbaz sharif said metro bus service is the extension of prime minister nawaz sharif’s vision of motorways.


He said after the completion of the project rawalpindi and islamabad will become twin cities in real sense.


He said state-of-the-art transportation facilities will be provided to people of twin cities through this project.


The project costing over rs44 billion is being implemented as per vision of the prime minister and punjab chief minister to provide a mass transit system of international standard to the people of twin cities.


The federal and provincial governments would contribute 50 per cent each of the total cost. the project will benefit over 150000 commuters travelling between the daily.
