Kuwait- Team eyed to pursue 12,000 absconders


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Deputy Premier, the Interior Minister Sheikh Mohamed Al-Khalid is expected to issue a ministerial decision forming a security team specialized in pursuing the suspects against whom judicial verdicts have been issued in criminal cases, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Sources said the team will consist of 250 members from the Criminal Investigation Department, Special Forces, Criminal Enforcement and Public Security to pursue some 12,000 suspects. They explained the concerned ministry officials held a meeting at headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department and agreed on the idea of conducting raids with security teams to enforce judicial verdicts issued against suspects in criminal cases



Youth referred: The Director of the Hawalli Security Department Col Nasser Al-Adwani has referred a Kuwaiti youth to the General Department for Drugs Control for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the suspect was arrested in Hawalli for reckless driving and while issuing a citation police found the youth was under the influence of drugs. Meanwhile, two persons - a Kuwaiti man and a citizen of an unidentified GCC state - who were caught in possession of 130 drug pills have been arrested and handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspects were reportedly arrested on the Arabian Gulf Street
