(MENAFN Press) JLL, the world's leading real estate investment and advisory firm, today announced that it has recently been appointed on a new shopping mall management instruction in UAE. The company was appointed to assist with the re-positioning, renewal, leasing and on-going management of Al Arab Mall, a community mall at a prime location in Sharjah. JLL has appointed Ms Eman Mohamed as the mall manager



Commenting on the new engagement, Graham Howat, Head of Property & Asset Management at JLL, said:

We are very glad to have built a trusted relationship with the new owner of this retail property in a very short time frame. The commitment of the new ownership to a complete turnaround of this property is very evident and JLL are delighted to be trusted to deliver leasing and management services to the mall.



"JLL has experience across EMEA in managing more than 200 shopping centres, and most recently had two mall management appointments in Cairo. We remain very sensitive to the local culture and customs in each and every one of the countries or cities we e appointed. Importantly, our approach uses a mix of local and international expertise to bring the combination of the best of both worlds and provide the perfect fit for our clients' needs.




The Al Arab Mall is strategically located at Al Taawun roundabout in the Al Khan area of Sharjah. A comprehensive refurbishment is currently underway and is expected to be completed by August 2014. The 26,500 sq m. mall is currently under leasing with strong interest expressed by retailers and several tenant enquires received



Commenting further on Eman Mohamed's appointment, Mr Howat added



"Eman has first class knowledge of leasing and management along with extensive connections in the retail sector. We expect the Al Arab Mall to undergo a transformation in 2014 and beyond. Eman's leadership and experience will play a pivotal role in transforming this mall into a new, vibrant retail destination for Sharjah."



Eman has over ten years of professional experience in retail management and leasing in the UAE having worked with Al Rostamani Real Estate Co., Majid Al Futtaim Investments, Emaar Shopping Malls, MBI and Meraas Holding in the UAE.
