State Award for Children Literature Participates in Children Book Fair of Sfax


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The State Award for Children Literature of Qatar participated in the Children Book Fair of Sfax, Tunisia, an annual cultural event with aim of promoting children literature. On the sidelines of the book fair, numerous competitions as well as international intellectual seminars will be organized to discuss the issues related to the enhancement of the children's culture and literature an how to build bridges of cooperation with similar centers and associations. Secretary-General of the State Award for Children Literature Aisha Jassim Al-Kuwari, member of the Award's Board of Trustees Dr Rabia Al-Kuwari, member of the Award's Board of Trustees Hessa Al-Awadhi, and the cultural expert at the Award Dr Walid Al-Hadithi took part in the event. The State Award for Children Literature endeavors to create and develop a well-educated Arabic generation by encouraging writers and artists in Qatar and in the Arab world to produce creative works in the field of literature and arts. It also aims to strengthen human values and abilities in order to develop children's life experience, strengthen the notion of identity and belonging among them within the framework of the Arabic and Islamic values in addition to enriching the Arabic library with valuable children's book
