Al Asmakh Charity Foundation Launches Rahmah Campaign

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Al Asmakh Charity Foundation will launch on Monday a popular campaign to raise relief funds for Syrian refugees in Lebanon as part of Qatari efforts aimed to assist the Syrian people. The campaign, named Al Rahmah, will start from house to house and from child to child with direct transmission by satellite channels to shed light on the suffering of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and their dire need for food, medicine and shelter. Advisor of Al Asmakh Board of Directors Jassim Salim Al Ansari said in a press conference that the foundation is focusing in its relief operations on the large number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon whose number is increasing day after day, noting that relief aid will start in three major areas namely Arsal, Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. He explained that Al Rahmah campaign would be an extension to previous relief efforts made by the foundation in Lebanon as part of the relief programme 'Zammilouni' which was implemented last year, saying Al Asmakh Charity Foundation managed, within a short period of time, to build executive capacities for its field relief operations in favour of the Syrian refugees in Lebanese areas. The foundation set QAR 10 million for the campaign, Al Ansari said hoping that individual persons, institutions and companies would support for Syrian brothers and others
