Arab League's Delegation Leaves Cairo For Kuwait


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Arab League Assistant Secretary general Ambassador Ahmad bin Hilli left Cairo on Wednesday leading the arab league's General Secretariat delegation for Kuwait to prepare for the preparatory meetings of the 25th Arab Summit due on March 25-26. Bin Hilli told reporters before departure that the delegation includes a number of senior Secretariat officials and a number of Arab ambassadors. He added that the preparatory meetings of the Economic and Social Council at the level of senior officials and delegates would kick off here tomorrow, Thursday, to prepare the economic and social file of the summit to be followed by a meeting of senior officials of foreign ministries and permanent representatives on Friday to prepare the summit's draft agenda. He said that the Arab League Secretary General Nabil El-Araby would arrive in Kuwait tomorrow for the inauguration of the media center. He pointed out that the upcoming summit would be of great significance being the first to be held by Kuwait which is one of the countries that supports the joint Arab action. The arab league's assistant secretary general further said that the summit would discuss a number of significant issues including the Palestinian issue and its latest developments, the Syrian crisis, resolving Arab disputes and development of the Arab Leagu
